I Kare NC is a grassroots organization committed to breaking cycles of trauma, incarceration, and injustice. We empower at-risk youth through mentorship and education, advocate for humane treatment of the incarcerated, and support families impacted by the justice system. We strive to build safer, stronger, and more equitable futures through community-driven action.
Our Vision
I Kare NC envisions a North Carolina where justice-impacted and at-risk youth are free from the school-to-prison pipeline, surrounded by healing-centered support, and empowered to lead in their communities. Through conflict resolution, mentorship, financial literacy, and creative outlets like music therapy, we see a future where every young person is safe, heard, and equipped to build a life defined by dignity, opportunity, and hope, not by their worst moment or the system they were born into.
